How do I remove the auto PIN lock that came with the new update? I can change the time when it occurs, but I cannot remove it completely.

Here is a link to access information on the PIN/Swipe Lock for Droid X:

https://motorola-global-en-usa.custhelp.com/app/answers/detail/a_id/48498/~/droid-x---screen-lock-(s...

If this information does not help to resolve the issue, then a factory reset will have to be completed to resolve the issue. This can be completed with the following steps:

Factory Reset option 1
From the main screen, touch menu tab
Touch Settings
Touch Privacy
Touch Factory Data reset
Touch Reset Phone
Touch Erase Everything
Warning: This will erase all data from your phone, including:
Your Google account
System and application data and settings
Downloaded Applications
It will not erase: Current System software and bundled applications; SD Card files, such as music or Photos

Factory Reset option 2  - Warning this will reset device back to original factory settings.

Turn off the phone

Press Power + Home at the same time
User may also press and hold Power + Home + Volume Down until display shows android triage screen

Display will show a triage android screen
Press the search hardkey - this will unhide the menu and show the following options

  • Reboot system Now
  • Apply sdcard:update.zip
  • Wipe Data/Factory Reset
  •  Wipe Cache Partition

Use VOL Down key to scroll down to "Wipe Data/Factory Reset", press camera key to select option and wipe device.

You also could have turned off the PIN CODE by going to Settings > Location and SecuritySetup Screen Lock> Select NONE...  But keep in mind this only disable the PIN CODE but the slide to unlock screen will remain active because this can not be disabled throughthe stock settings....  NO LOCK is on market to help suppress the slide to lock screen if you want that removed (Does Not Work on Restarts but activates after first unlock)
