Password lock on startup

Is there any way to make the phone require a password when it is powered on? Such a security measure is present on most feature phones, I.would hope on the Droid too

Android 2.1 introduced pattern unlock which will be available on current phones, and 2.2 will have a regular keypad unlock.

Go to settings,security,set unlock pattern. There you have it.

Thanks, but I wanted my phone to only lock on startup, oh well

And the X has a keypad unlock along with pattern unlock
