Personal Banner

Hello - I would like my name to come up on the first screen (the screen where you slide your finger to unlock the phone) so that if anyone found it, they would know who's phone it is. I have always done this on my other cell phone using the "banner" settings. Does anyone know if this can be done with the droid x? Thanks.

I got an answer at the android droid x forum which works great for my needs. I bought an app at the market called "WidgetLocker" (1.99)and a free app also at the android market called "memo widget"

Widget locker allows you to place widgets on the lock screen. I installed this program and changed some of the settings. I also had to disable the installed unlock slider (otherwise you have to do it twice to unlock your screen). I then made up a memo using memo widget that has my name, home phone and email address. So if anyone were to find my phone, they could access this information right on the unlock screen.

It works perfectly. Let me know if you have any questions.
