I have a Droid Incredible. While deleting texts from an individual, a text came in. I now cannot delete it or read it. It only shows up when I've sent or received a text. Tried turning off phone and clearing notifications. Its been 3 weeks of this, annoying! Any advice?

*Please note* : completing the steps below will erase all text messages and may remove email accounts. Please make sure to save your information before completing the steps to clear your cache.
Menu>Settings>Applications->Manage Applications-> Select “All” Tab and Clear Cache and Clear Data for applications which are used most often. Like Facebook, Yahoo fantasy game, and other apps which save cache.
Once this has been completed, please monitor the device and let us know if you are still having issues.

I am sorry to learn that steps provided by previous representative did not resolve this issue for you. You may need to do a more drastic step, factory reset. To do a factory reset please click on the link below for instructions.

Please keep in mind that performing a hard reset will remove ALL data including the Google account, system data, application data, application settings, and downloaded applications.
Greeeaat. I need to do this but it is imperative that I back up my text messages. How do I do that? I have an SMS message that apparently is too big to receive. I can't get rid of it and it keeps popping up (phantom message). UGH! Very frustrating!
