Just recently my phone key stopped working on my Incredible 2. When you press the key to make a call, the key pad and call history no longer pops up, only a tiny gray bubble above the key that says "phone". Has this happened to anyone else?
I have the same issue. It has been ~ 2 weeks now, and the phone key does exactly the same thing you state. Have not been able to find a fix.
The only work-arounds I know is to go to your apps and search People in order to make a call. This doesn't work, of course, if you are using a new number, in which case you have to add it to people first.
Would love to hear of anyone who has gotten a fix to this problem. I got the Incredible 2 because it was supposed to have far fewer problems than my old phone (Motorola Droid 2), but at least on the old phone I could actually use the phone keypad!
I'm having the same problem! Started yesterday..called my local verizon store and they told me to do a battery pull (answer to everything)..didn't work. Guess I'll be taking a trip to Verizon tomorrow! Please let me know if you have a solution!!

Are you still having issues with the phone dialer? If so, have you tried to do a master reset on the phone? Are any other native applications not working on the phone? Please respond so I can further assist. Thank you.
I had the same problem. I decided to deal with it and just downloaded a dialer app from the market. Then my messages started messing up. Then my alarm quit working, then the internet. Eventually the phone crashed and I had to get a replacement, Not sure why this happened or how to fix it but it seems to be a reoccuring problem.
It just happened to me today, i have tried the restart and taking the battery out, nothing so far. Also my contacts are just gone from my phone, yet my facebook ones are still there... going to verizon tomorrow
This has started to happen to me and now my text messages only list the number and not the contact. How can I resolve?
I have the same exact issue. When I recieve a call or text it only displays the phone number.
