Phone, Texting & Internet won't work

Loved this phone at first and the last couple of months it's just been one problem after another. It deleted half my contacts, my apps stop working, MMS and Phone randomly stop working, it overheats real easy, shuts off all the time. I could deal with all that stuff but yesterday this weird triangle showed up over the bars where it shows your service. Now my phone, MMS and internet don't work. I've tried resetting it and leaving the battery out for a bit. That's all the tech expertise I personally have. Has anyone had this happen/have any suggestions? It's such an inconvience to go to Verizon and I'm not up for an upgrade until January.

Good morning.

I'm sorry about the issues you are experiencing with your Droid Incredible.  I can certainly understand your frustration.  Does the triangle say what the issue is?  You can try cleaning the cookies, cache, and history, as well as checking your wireless settings and updating the Preferred Roaming List.  Below I have provided you with all the steps to do all of the options above.

1)  Clear Temporary Internet Files

  • Select your Browser
  • Select Menu
  • Select More
  • Select Settings
  • Select Clear All Cookie Data
  • Select Ok
  • Select Clear Cache
  • Select Ok
  • Select Clear History
  • Select Ok

2) Network Settings

  • Select Settings
  • Select Wireless & Networks
  • Uncheck everything
  • Power the phone off for 30 seconds, turn back on, follow the 3 steps above
  • Check Mobile Network
  • Select Mobile Networks, (right below)
  • Select Enable always-on mobile data, (make sure it is checked)

3) Preferred Roaming List (PRL)

  • Dial *228 [send]
  • Select Option 2
  • Once programming is complete, press Ok

If this is not resolved, please send me a Private Message, and I will be happy to personally assist you further.

Thank you,

k  I wondered because sometimes you will have to manually program the phone to get it back. (I have done it a few times) Something about the Dinc.

Check for a PM in a few.......I have some things you can check

No, it wasn't. I updated it and followed all the prompts but my phone still has the same problem.

K. Be sure to go back and see if they stuck....

You kept whatever it stated after the @ signs???

If you did both, I will go back and look at my old phone, maybe there are a couple other places you need to update.

Also....Go into ##778 click on NAM,  is your number listed under Mobile Directory Number (MDN) and MSID??? If there is another 10 digit number in MSID, leave it alone.

Under Home SID/NID, what does it show???
