Phone getting HOT

I have a one week old X. This is the 2nd one in 3 weeks. This phone is getting super HOT. It could be in my shirt pocket and the phone gets hot. I have to charge the phone twice a day. I have turned off everything I can. I least I think I did. I like the phone but I need to have it last most of the day. I think the hot issue is tied to the battery issue. Any help or ideas?

It sounds like a data connection or something is continuing while you have the phone in your pocket. This would be a good reason to use a task killer to auto close everything when the screen turns off. Also make sure your wifi and other non-used radio services are turned off. Then check your settings battery manager and turn your Battery Mode to "Max Battery Saver".

Just to give you an idea, I put my phone back on the charger at the end of the night with about 60% battery and have my Battery Mode set to Performance Mode.
