My Droid Incredible 2 was working fine earlier today, but when I got home from work and tried to make a call, I started getting force close errors in "com.android.phone". After researching potential fixes, I tried to go to the settings menu only for "com.android.settings" to also force close. I updated the firmware to the latest version and still no fix, and a hard reset has not helped. Is there anything I can do without resorting to a factory reset?

Try Settings / Appllications / Manage Applications / All Tabs / Phone / Clear Data..

Hello WillWeaverRVA,
I know the force close message can be a bit frustrating. Normally I would suggest navigating to Settings>Applications>Manage Applications>All>Tap on the icon with force close message>Clear data/cache>Power cycle and retest. Since you have done a master reset in a since you have completed this step. After you completed the master reset did the phone work for a while and then began to force close again? If so, the clear data/cache options still might be a great step to attempt. If you are unsuccessful with any of the options including Wildmans' please let me know so I may further assist. Thank you.
