You posted in the Motorola Droid Mini Forum so it sounds like you have a Mini correct? If so having a removable is correct the battery in theses phones are not removable but you can send the Device into Motorola and they can repair the battery and as for a Charger have you tried another charger? or have possibly another Motorola charger I tend to keep a few around for instances as of this so if you have a spare you might try that if you need Motorola's repair facility here's there link..

I am having the same issue. My phone is dead. My husband as a MINI as well. I have tried all 4 charges in our possession for these phones and it does not charge. What are my options? If the phone is dead and unable to charge and I am not willing to send it in to motorola, can I get a new device? If I change the device on the plan, can I change the plan from a smartphone/data plan to a simpler plan? I don't want to have to pay for a dead phone every month.

dily22,
We want to get you back into a reliable phone as soon as possible, I'm sorry to hear about the problems with this one. Does the LED indicator light up at any time? Please press and hold the power volume down keys at the same time for 1 minute, then release. Please reply if this does not bring the phone back up. When was the phone purchased? Is there any physical or water damage?

I'm having the same problem with my brand new mini. I tried your advice of holding down power and volume buttons. Nothing. What are my options. This is very disappointing!

Ok do you possibly have another charger you could use to charge your Mini, another thing your battery may might be in a Deep discharge if so Let it charge for a couple hours if you don't see anything then, Take the phone back to your local Store and have them take a look at it they may have to replace it for you..
But try charging for at least 2 hours see if the phone shows anything then.. Good Luck b

Please Don't do that.! There Lies your problem charging from a Computer is the Worst use your OEM charger that came with the phone and charge it) Computer's USB's can't put out the Volts like the In box charger so use in stead..

I charge my phones, ipad, and other devices via the computer and I've never had problems with that before. I'll take your advice though. Thank you again!
