I purchased my Droid X yesterday, and I've taken a few photos over the past day. I renamed them for easy recognition, and when I went to go view them later, they wouldn't open. I connected the X to my computer to pull up the photos that way, and I saw that the file type was indeterminate. It simply said "file". It wasn't jpeg or anything of the sort.
Has anyone else experienced this? Does anyone know how to fix this?

Sounds like something wrong with the way you're naming them. Are you leaving the extension on the files?
Try saving them as is and see if you can see them. You can always rename them later with the files app.

Had the same problem until I started renaming as "newname.jpg". If you leave off the .jpg extension in the renaming process you won't be able to seee them.
