Pic question and gingerbeard update question??

Question

When I save a pic or something where is it saved to?  Ive looked on my SD card and I cant find it.  I want to save pics from APPS and the internet.  I cant seem to find them anywhere...  Please help...

Is the gingerbeard update something I should look into getting?  Does it update automaticallly or do I have to go get it somewhere.  I have the incredible and am wondering if its something I need to get??  Thanks everyone...

/sd/dcim/100media....that's the directory that my pics taken on the camera of my incredible are in. This was an sd card from my old phone though, so I also have a folder called my_pix with the pics from my old phone. Also, I have a few camera and picture apps that have their own folders in the sd card's directory with those pictures. So they are scattered on my sd card, but all of them taken from this phone are in that dcim folder on the sd card. Hope this makes sense to you and helps.
