I would like to download pictures from my phone directly to my computer via my USB connection .. is that possible
When you connect your phone to the computer via USB it should show up as a new drive - you can then browse the files and copy or move them to your computer. What phone do you have, and what computer (PC, Mac?)
Another option is Drop Box. If you have the app on your phone it automatically uploads your pictures. This was a life saver for me when the new gallery upgrade wiped out the photos on my phone. Thankfully they were all "in the cloud" in my drop box. That way I am not dependent on me to remember or physically up load them. Hope this helps.
