Can anyone tell me how to import specific pictures and music from my PC to my droid incredible?  And secondly, can you use imported music as ringtones?  Thanks!

Only DRM free / unprotected music can be transferred via this method. DRM protected content (e.g. songs downloaded via iTunes (not all iTunes songs are protected), Rhapsody subscription, etc.) will not play on this device.

Connect the device to the computer with the USB cable.

  • From the home screen, pull down the window shade (located at the top of the screen).
  •  Refer to Window shade - HTC DROID Incredible ADR6300 for assistance.
  • Touch Disk drive then touch Done.
  • From File Explorer / Finder on the computer, create a new music folder in Removable Disk .
  •  Removable Disk represents the SD Card installed in the device. This name may vary.
  • Use the computer to copy music and other audio files into the newly created folder.
  •  For any accompanying artwork in JPEG format, rename the art file albumart.jpg and copy into the same folder as the music files.
  • To further organize files, create a subfolder in the newly created music folder and copy desired musicfiles into it.
  • From the home screen, pull down the window shade (located at the top of the screen).
  • You can now drag and drop any song you want into the "Removable Device" folder and it will transfer to your Droid.
  •  Refer to Window shade - HTC DROID Incredible ADR6300 for assistance.
  • Touch Charge only then touch Done.
  • Disconnect the USB cable from the computer.

  • To upload pictures from your computer to the device you will take the same steps as above but replace the songs with the following:
  • Open up the folder on your computer of where the pictures are located
  • Drag & drop pictures into the gallery/picture folder
  • When finished unmount your phone
  • Look in the gallery on your phone to see if you see the pictures
