What LG are you attempting to transfer from? If it has a SD Card just copy images to card and then place it in a pc card reader and copy to pc and then mount Droid X as Mass Storage and copy onto its card when Mass Storage drive shows in PC My Computer area.

I am also trying to transfer pictures from my old Dare to my new X. I copied the pictures from Dare to my computer, but it can't recognize the X. When I try dofferent processes, it states the is no card in the X. I finally got a picture transfered using vcast media manager, but I don't think it is going on the sd card. I think it is storing on internal memory. Shouldn't here be a setting for where I want picutres to be stored?

On droid X did you pull down top bar by swiping finger down from bar and select Mass Storage from option. And for the record the photos and music usually always save to card because the device does not allow personal files to internal memory. You should have a sd card on your device... Are you sure you do not have a sd card because LG website shows that that device should have one? Check here http://www.lg.com/us/mobile-phones/LG-VX9600.jsp

I am not sure which screen I should swipe the drop down from. From the home screen, when I swipe down, there isn't an option for mass storage. I guess I have to assume the card is working if the picture can only be stored on the card and 2 pictures did transfer. When I connected the usb cable, it automatically says it is mass storage, but that the card is unmounted. My computer also doesn't recongnize the card in "my computer".

When you plug device in when you pull down menu you will see "USB Connection" option and this will show a popup and select Mass Storage from list.

I have an LG Versa with several photos. BTW, love the Versa and why Verizon dropped it is beyond me. Anyway, the way I transfered the photos from Versa to Droid was using bluetooth. I paired the two phones and simply selected those photos and a video that I wanted to transfer from the Versa to the Droid, clicked on send and chose bluetooth. Now the photos and video I selected are in my Droid.

Wolfman, I had to purchase an SD card for my Versa. None came pre-installed.

No problem , I need to shave now so my friend would probally agree...
, the card that came with Droid X should fit, you can remove it and place in your LG to copy them onto it and then place it back in Droid X.

Well, I tried the bluetooth method. Seemed to work at first, but after download, droid said did not receive file. It looked like the file was transfering, but failed.

Why dont you just dont pull card out of Droid X and place in other phone, copy files and place back in Droid X? This is the easiest solution.
