I am a new HTC Incredible 2 user and it is my first smart phone. So far, I really like this device!
Here is my problem. I cannot figure out how to get my pix from my phone into my PC. I'm running Windows XP and the PC recognizes the phone when I hook it up with the USB/power cord, but it then tells me to install the software. What software?? Where do I get the software? Help, please

blustilang this is one way to transfer you pictures shut down your incredible open the back cover find you sd card Carefully remove it. Pute the micro sd in a bigger Sd reader if you got one that will plug into your computer an you can transfer to one of your files on the computer once the pictures are loaded pull the reader out an carefully take out the micro Sd an then re-install it back in your Incredible.
one thing to note is do not turn on your incredible while that card is out of there only after you have re-installed the card back into it. B33

Install the HTC Sync software that came with the unit and this will automatically install the required drivers..

Hello blustilang,
B33 and Wildman gave great options to assist. You can also download the HTC Sync software by clicking here . Please let me know if you were successful with the transfer of your pictures or if you need additional assistance. Thank you.

You can also manually move the pics over by opening up the phone icon, then open the DCIM folder - this is where the phone stores pictures. All you have to do now is drag and drop them where you want them.

Please help!
I cannot figure out how to move my pics from my phone to my computer.
1. I want to do this via cable connecting my phone to the PC (Windows XP). I don't want to try removing the SD card now, as I don't think I have the adapter, and since I have a cable, that should work.
2. Phone is Droid Inc2
I installed HTC Sync from the link in the above post. I still can't see how to move the pics from phone to computer.
(edit: when I open the HTC Sync program from bottom tray - one of a few places where I had an icon placed during installation - after it opens, it says "No Device Connected", and my phone IS connected to my USB port on PC tower. I tried unplugging, and plugging in again, still, says it's not connected.)
(This is my first smartphone. The Verizon phone I had before, I could just select "upload" and the pictures were sent to online storage, then I could log in to my account and I could see them there, and I could save to my computer pics. It was clear & easy. This so-called smartphone should be easy too, yet I find it way more complicated. Isn't one of the perks to having a smartphone is to be able do things easier?)
Also, I can't send a pic from my phone to any email address. It appears to be sent; I see I alittle message saying "sent", but it never shows up in the email. I am wondering it was "sent" to. ??? I was hoping if I could get my pic in my email, I could save it to my computer from there. When I try to send as an attachment to a text message, it tells me "file is too large", compresses it, then sends, but it is so small you can barely see anything and can't enlarge it.
I am very frustrated. Please help!
