Power/Sleep Button not working....

My phone has been working perfectly - over a year and a half with barely an issue. I love it - yesterday all off a sudden I could not get it to wake up when the screen went to sleep, had to take the battery out, then when it went back to sleep the button on top did not work to wake it again, did some troubleshooting - button does not work to put it to sleep, power it on or power it off. I found replacement buttons online and it looks like this is something that happens to others. How can I get it fixed without buying a power button and opening the phone myself??? I do not have any extended warranty plans - but have been with Verizon for about 20 years and never needed a phone repaired!

Verizon doesn't repair phones. You might be able to find a local electronics repair shop.

Buttons can wear out over time, but I wasn't able to find any known issues about the phone's power button specifically. If the phone is over a year and a half old, it would be out of the warranty and Ann154 is right, we don't repair phones. But we do have some great options for replacements!
