Time for an upgrade so I'll be ordering a new phone today. In terms of price it would be great to go with a certified pre-owned model and save a little money BUT just wondering how many of you have bought the incredible pre-owned. It'll be my first smart phone purchase and don't want to end up with a dud that doesn't look brand new. Any input would be really appreciated! Thanks.

How did you break yours? I got my off of an online MYpoints.com. My sound button is not working, nor the place where you plug in for battery looks funny, and now won't work.

i've actually had great luck with both, smartphones, and feature phones. i got my wife a preowned allias II and there was absolutely no way to tell that it wasn't brand new. my brother got a preowned original moto droid and it too was in MINT condition. verizon wont sell preowned devices unless they truly are just like new. you wont get one with so much as a scratch on it.

I like you was very nervious I got my first smart phone as a CPO (certified Pre owned) . I couldn't tell anything when I got it and I have been happy every since. I also saved a bunch of that Green stuff buy buying CPO. Not a bad way to upgrade. Go Shorter on the upgrade then you can get a new phone in 10 months.

I have heard horror stories from peole that recieved a pre-owned phone, I have heard people that have never had a single problem with their pre-owned phone. Personally, I prefer a brand new phone, at least I am the first person that will have an opportunity to do something detrimental to the phone - i.e dropping it. I think it's mostly a grab bag, some and likely most of the pre-owned phones will be returns and such when nothing has happened to make the phone act unexpectedly, however, some of the phones have been refurbished and repaired, these phones are the ones that will most of the time give you problems, of course you can never know if that has happened or not when you recieve your phone, IMHO - buying a new phone is better, even if the only benefit is my peace of mind that noone else has damaged it in some way before me.
