I am unable to unlock the screen when a call is coming in. This causes me to miss the call and I have to call the person back. Similar problems when you his "ANSWER" when the call comes in and the screen is not locked. I received my Droid in mid-June and the replacement I received yesterday (8/9/10) has the same issue.

The issue I had when answering a call on a locked screen was, when i removed the phone or picked up the phone to unlock, I would drag UP the screen which sends the call to VM.
It took me two months to figure out what the issue was.
Also, make sure turn off the option to silence the ringer once you move the phone. May be a co winky-dink, but I have not had an issue since I turned off that option.

The the issue I am having. The Tech from Verizon was calling me while I had the phone in my hand. The bar to open the screen froze and would not release the screen.

I will try changing the option to silence the ringer once you move the phone. Thanks for the suggestion.

The only other thing I can think of is I have that problem sometimes when my phone is in the cradle I use for GPS in the car. The clamp hits the volume buttons and can hold them in. I have noticed that if it is holding it in I cannot unlock it and just have to release enough pressure off the button to get it to start working.
Not sure that is you problem but you might want to make sure you do not have a finger holding pressure on those buttons.

There is an app that will disable the lock function on the phone.
