Problem with Droid camera

My new Droid Incredible took awesome pictures for the first 2 weeks but now does not work and displays a red haze on the screen. I can still view the 300+ pictures & videos that were already taken without problems. Checked to see if there could possibly have been any settings that were inadvertently changed to cause this problem and tried setting the camera settings back to the default which didn't fix it. Tried shutting phone completely off and reseating the battery which didn't help either.
Curious to find out if anyone else has had this problem and if it means that the phone will have to be sent back. Thx.

Thanks. I popped over to the nearest Verizon store during my lunch hour and was told that a replacement should arrive in 3-4 days and that I didn't have to relinquish the phone in order to get the replacement ordered. No guarantee that I'll get a new phone as a replacement which is a little disappointing since my phone is only 2 weeks old but the process to have my current phone checked out and the replacement ordered was pretty painless.

doesn't sound good i've had no problems but i have seen other issues with the cam. however, they were mostly with force closing or not saving ppics. a red haze on the screen sounds like a lens issue. try taking a pic and then viewing it. does the red have show up on the pic? or is it just on the screen when taking pics?

Yes, I tried taking a picture and the red haze is all that shows up in the picture as well. Guess now I get to discover the issues involved with getting the phone replaced. Hopefully the repair/replacement cycle doesn't take as many weeks as it did to get the phone after I ordered it.

it wont. if you were in the whole "one month backorder" fiasco, then it wont be as bad. i still follow that thread on the shipping dates and it appears that they have nearly caught up with demand. but i would still count on about 7-10 days of a wiat to get the replacement. are you in your first 30 days? if so then maybe you could get lucky and find a store with some in stock that could replace it with a brand new phone. but more likely prepare for a week wait.

also...if you have to activate an old "dumb phone" while you wait, then make sure they credit your account for however many days you don't need the $30 data plane. they will do it but you'll prolly have to ask or point it out. no need to pay for data if you have to use a flip phone for a week or so.

As someone who had to replace his phone lately with Asurion, I assure you that you will most likely get a new replacement. There haven't been enough unsatisfied customers who returned their Incredibles yet.

and besides that, they don't issue used phones that are anything but brand new quality. i actually order their refurbished devices when i don't have an upgrade (because they are less than half of retail price usually). everyone i've got or seen others get is as good as brand new. in fact, usually it's better as they test EVERY refurb. new ones are only sample tested, which is how lemons get onto the market.
