Problems since 2.2 upgrade

I completed the Android 2.2 upgrade. I'm less satisified with my phone now and I loved it before.
1. My text announcement tone doesn't always ring. Sometimes I don't get the first alert and I rarely get subsequent alerts in the middle of a text conversation. I looked at settings and all of the right settings are checked. I've missed some important family texts because of this.
2. Visiting favorite websites now make my entire browser crash. Thankfully, the website I need to be on during the day is fine but the second most visited crashes the entire browser.
3. I think overall the touch screen is less responsive. It seems to take me longer to spell things out. This could just be my technique.
There may be other issues as I'm not a big app user but the first two are critical problems. I've seen no improvements either and I regret doing the upgrade.
Any advice would be most appreciated!

If you are having text lag and browser crash issues, are you running a Task Killer? If so, remove it. If still an issue,
I hate to say it but a Master Reset may be in line for you. Since I did mine, the device is fantastic.
If you decide to do a reset, be sure to save to your SD Card any documents, pix, music, you want to keep from the phones internal memory.
If you want to save text messages, DL the app SMS Backup and use to save those messages. If not already set up, sync your contacts either with Google or the Verizon Backup Assistant... or both! Either write down the apps you have DL'd or use a program to Save those programs so the can be easily placed back on the device. (I can not think of the name of them, but search App Backup in the market)
Once you have saved everything you want, remove the SD card from the phone, (that is not required, but why take the risk of the info being erased) and from the main home screen, choose, MENU>SETTINGS>SD & PHONE STORAGE. Scroll to the bottom and choose Factory Data Reset.
On the next screen choose, Reset Phone and Internal Storage. I can not remember if there is a confirm screen after that, but if so, Confirm.
The phone will walk you through the rest of the process.
