Problems w/ Droid 2 Global Gingerbread Update

Hey guise first post.
Aight so here's the dealio. I have a Droid 2 Global 'n I heard about the Gingerbread update. OF COURSE.. I have a problem with it. Everytime I try to update using the manual OTA update (Settings > About Phone > System Update) the phone gives me this message, "Your phone is up to date. There is no need to update at this time" (or something like that). I called in and Big Red even confirmed that my phone SHOULD be eligible for update by taking all the device info.
HELP ME. I want the update. Just so I can get everything set up when I actually have the time to do it.

I would guess they are. I'm not sure where the confusion is coming from, but the tweets being posted here appear to be premature. The Droid 2 Global update is not rolling out at this time. Sorry for misinformation -- we are looking into it. (And no, I can't give you any information on when. )

I talked with Verizon WIreless Tier 2 support. They confirmed that the Gingerbread update for the Droid 2 Global has not been released yet and that internal Verizon documentation showed the update as "coming soon"
