Quite frequently I am seeing an error message when trying to play videos on my Droid Charge. The error message that pops up says the video cannot be played and the only way to correct the error is to reboot the phone. This happens with any video whether it has been downloaded to the phone or is using the HBO GO app. Does anyone know what this error is about and how to fix it?

I can certainly assist you. Does this happen with videos you recorded on the phone also? After rebooting the phone, are you able to play that same video? When you play these videos, is it playing directly thru the browser or the phone's media player? Try clearing cache from the Video Player. This will not delete any videos. Settings>Applications>Manage Applications>All>Video Player>Clear data/cache/force stop.

I never record videos, this is just for using the video player to watch things like the HBO Go App or use the Media Hub.
Also the Blockbuster App will now not let me play any videos in the library.

Have you tried clearing your cache?

Clearing the cache has no effect.

I've also experienced this problem using the droid's video player, and I've tried the same troubleshooting steps.
Whenever this problem pops up, I am also unable to view videos through the youtube app. The audio plays just fine, but there is no video.
Powercycling the phone fixes the issue.

So I guess Verizon has no solution for this problem? Pretty annoying as it recurs daily.

I've encountered this problem too with streamed videos, downloaded videos, and videos that I have recorded using the phone. Rebooted my phone ~3 days ago and had to do it again today to fix this problem, hoping that this won't continue . . .
