Hello, Everyone! I am switching to Verizon tomorrow and need some quick help. I was going to order the Droid 2 but someone told me it was being discontinued! Can anyone tell me if this is true and, if so, what problems might I encounter down the road??? My other choice was a Samsung Fascinate....oh dear...so many choices..LOL
The Droid2 was replaced by the Droid 2 Global......very nice phone, wife and I have had them for about a month now.
As stated, the Droid 2 is now the Droid 2 global. However, you still have the R2D2 model, which is what I have. Same as the Droid 2 without the global ability. You might also want to look into the Droid X which is almost a twin of the Droid 2 with some minor differences. I have that one as well. Both are excellant phones with many capabilities.
