People want a desktop charging cradle for their phones. Why can one not be produced? A lot of us purchased the phones under the assumption that a dock was being produced. Are you going to allow Incredible owners to exchange their device for Droid X's? You can't get any manufacture to produce a dock that can charge? I really don't think people care THAT much if the home screen doesn't auto rotate. If the clock application is launched it works fine in landscape or you mean a dock that works in portrait isn't possible?????

how difficult would it really be for them to just place the micro usb plug slightly lower to fit the inc? i love this cradle if the could duplicate it to fit the inc. it can't be that tough to do. and with minor tweaks you could lay it on it's side for landscape. it would be perfect....postrait AND landscape AND it has a slot underneath for an extra battery. the manufaturer would have a gold mine because they'd be the ONLY ones with anything to sell us!!!!
and really....just how difficult would it be for htc to send an ota update that WOULD allow the home screen to rotate? i fear they are sort of giving up on the incredible, which i happen to love! they've blown the handling of this device from day 1. screen supply issue, underestimated demand, lack of accessories, etc. i feel they have left a LOT of $$$ on the table with this device.
I always just figured that the Incredible Spec just didn't allow for true docking mode. the N1/Droid/Droid X have a magnet at the side of the phone that auto detects a dock for you.
However, I have seen people who bought a business card holder of all things and modified that to act as a dock for the incredible.

That will work but I could just attach the cable to a buisness card holder and get the same result. I wanted a more "finished"/professional product. Something where you don't still have to plug the cable in manually. Something that acts as an actual dock. I had never used one before until my iPhone 3G. After that I couldn't live without. I left the iPhone for what I feel is a FAR superior product but I feel the accessory support for the Incredible is WAY inferior. Why all the love for the Moto's and nothing for the DINC????
agreed. there are plenty generic docks that would work. but i want one designed for the inc...that you can dock straight into the plug, like an ipod or EVERY other device out there. the one i linked to above would be perfect, if they made it for the inc. and i was the same way with my zune. never had the dock for 2 years, but when it went on sale for $5 i picked one up and now i can't believe i didn't get one 2 years ago!!! lol
I have been looking everywhere and can't find one. I even went so far as looking for third party and can't find one. I agree totally. Found out they have mad one's for the versions before and after Incredible, but not for Incredible. So what's the problem?

It seems that one of our fellow incredible owners has stepped up to the plate with some crazy CAD skills, a CNC machine, and exceptional creativity. He has not only made one of the best looking docks I have ever seen but he's producing them and soon to be selling them to us! I'm personally just waiting for the green light to order and ordering ASAP.
