Random Disconnects then kicks back on

facade

Every now & then my phone will drop all signal then pick it back up almost immidiately. Never seems to happen in use and mainly when I just have it sitting somewhere either charging or whatever.

Anyone else have this randomly occuring w/their Droid X? It's done it since I've purchased it back in Aug but I've never cared enough to complain about it since it doesn't occur very often, just once in awhile.

i just purchased my droid x, literally 2 days ago.  i am experiencing this very problem.  only difference is my calls are being dropped.  this is VERY bothersome.  does it have anything to do with the SD Card, i wonder?  i replace the 16GB with my 2GB from my previous phone until i can retrieve all i want from it.

This happens from time to time when the phone is sweeping for a stronger tower, it is usually happens so fast that its isnt noticed.

Mine does this as well, and most of the time it will pick up right away, but sometimes it's out of signal for 10 minutes. It only happens at night, I've noticed. Also only happens when it's just sitting there, sometimes I'll go to open an app and I'll get an error message saying it's not connected to the network

Wildman, thank you very much.  This happens to me as well.once in a while.  I have not complained because

it happens so fast,  and nothing is lost.  When it  does occur, the phone  is usually in the Bathroom when I take it off the charge.  I only get "1 G"  in there mostly.

Not aware of the policy of cross-forum posting here, but this has been discussed at length in the Moto forum, starting in July (pre 2.2) up to recent posts.
