I got my Droid X about 3 weeks ago and updated to 2.2 OTA same day. Haven't done anything drastic with it; downloaded a few apps and games, but everything has been working fine.....until yesterday. I tried to open up Pandora Radio and got the "We're having unexpected technical difficulties" error. Then I tried Slacker Radio and it just hangs on the station and never plays. When I try to play a video using the YouTube widget and get "Sorry, this video cannot be played. There was a problem while playing."
Trying to play a video recorded using the phone I get "Error. File cannot be displayed or played." Does anybody know what might be going on? This is really frustrating. Did a battery pull and pulled the SD card as well. Tried a factory reset this morning and that didn't work either. Don't really want to send my phone back for replacement as I don't want to be without a phone, but am I out of options?

It's hopefully just the Verizon Network in your case. Try again later after rebooting. I have spent hours trying to fix phone issues in the past to find out that Verizon or my e-mail provider was to blame. It would be very nice if Verizon had some type of network issues/outage website.

What app are you using to play the videos?
It sounds like there might be a problem with an app you have installed. On a side note, I recall having an issue similar to this back when I had both Slacker and Pandora installed. It may have been just a coincidence but I uninstalled both of them and after a battery pull and reset things were fine. I also noticed that Pandora seemed to cause my phone to lockup after about 20 mins of radio play. I haven't tried Pandora again since then so it may have just been an issue with that particular version.

I had my Droid X for about 2 weeks now up until a few days ago everything was working fine. Now like it seems like a lot of folk are having the same issues. Patiently waiting on a solution.

Uninstall Pandora and do a battery pull. Your other apps should work properly after this. This is a known issue with Pandora that they have decided to take their time to fix. Many others and myself have had this same issue with Pandora. I've been watching their updates to see when they fix this issue, it's been about 2 months now since I had the problem and the app is still not fixed.

I have a Droid X as well, and is only one week old. I recorded videos from a concert, played them all week without issue. Now no videos, inlcuding web based, You Tube, whatever won't play. I'm getting the same error. I copied my videos to my laptop to preserve them without issue. They play on my PC. No videos will play on my phone however. This is VERY frustrating.
