Remove Facebook Contacts

I just got my phone and signed into facebook and now all my Friends are in my contact list - how do I remove them and just keep my original contacts?

Delete the "Account" Facebook app that is pre-installed on the phone and download the free Facebook app from the market. It works better anyhow.

You can resolve this by the following steps:

From the home screen press the menu key> then press settings> then press accounts> then press on your facebook account> uncheck sync contacts.

there is no check mark. all it says is remove account

I would remove the Facebook account, unless you live and die by Facebook. Between what you are experiencing with your contacts and syncing constantly, using battery and CPU cycles, it's not worth the trouble. Just use the app without the notifications or better yet, use the touch mobile site in your browser.

I have the same problem with all my FB contacts appearing in my Contact List & when I followed the instructions SammuelP gave above I also ended up with the only option being "Remove Account"

Just REMOVE the Account ... You don't need that Account there if you don't wish your FB contacts interspersed with your other phone contacts ... and removing it does NOT effect the usage of FaceBook APP.
