Replaced my Droid for a new one

I had constant tiny clicking on all phone calls so I did everything I could to solve the issue (1 1/2 hours with verizon support) and finally wiped the machine to see if it would fix it... no luck. It was clearly a hardware issue with the speaker.

When I went in to exchange it they gave me a hard time - no one could hear the clicking (my wife could) but after some insistance they exchanged it.... no clicking now.

Actually i also am finding that my touches are getting the screen to respond better - the older one took a very precise touch to get something to work. This one is far better.

I bought a Verizon Network Extender to get better reception but it can't even get out of the house to find a tower... so it's going back tomorrow.

The only thing about the new phone that seems off is the magnifier key is brighter than the rest but if that's the only problem I can live with it :smileyhappy: .

So far so good. If you have the clicking problem IT IS REAL. It's very soft but consistant when on a call.

Really glad to hear you took the steps you needed to, to get your phone working (or rather, a new one). Happy to hear!

That heat problem though, could be for lots of reason. Try turning the phone off, for a couple of hours and see how it responds after.

I think the heat was from it sitting in the dock and charging. I'm not worried about it.

Right now the most annoying bug is the email one where you have to mark as read or they keep popping up as new.

Umm... isn't the network extender supposed to plug into the internet, not piggy-back off another cell tower?

Did you have a verizon phone previously and did you have better reception with your old phone? Is the droid reception good for you other places?

this is actually my second verizon phone, EnV3 was my first, and both gave me great reception. i switched from AT&T because of that.
