Ring Tones- help!

I've downloaded several ringtones from different apps, and it seems like they will work for awhile, and then they turn into a normal ring, I've already upgraded, and have done a hard reset due to losing my market app, not sure what's going on, has anyone else had this problem??

Yes but this is usually because of two reasons.

1. When phone is used as Mass Storage the ringer can not be accessed because they are stored on the sd card and the card isn't accessible when using this feature.

2. A application modified the location directory of ringers location, usually it is wise to store all ringers in SD Card/Media/Audio/Ringtones because this is a default location and the app usually checks here first when drive becomes available.

Okay, I just purchased two ring tones, received them in a text message, can not save or move them. Directions on Verizon site do not work. How do I do this?

1. Go to Text Messages view, threader veiw that shows the pic preview or ringer music note image when its not opened.

2. Press and hold on Pic

3. Select Save from the list\

4. Now the pic should be saved in SD/Messages folder

5. Move files to SD/Media/Audio/Ringtones and then you should see hem under the ringers list...

Let me know if this works for you, I just sent myself one to double check..

Only one thing with the directions, I do not suggest you use the music player "Save as Ringtone" option because everytime you use device as Mass Storage device the system have a bad habit of reverting to stock alert and you will have to reset ringer alot, if you copy files to the SD/Media/Audio/Ringtone directory this usually doesnt cause the same issue, it usually reverts when mismounted and if not after restart...  Both works well but this is the only issue I have ran into using the set as ringotne option.
