I am loving my DroidX. I have a question tho. When I download ringtones, it doesn't show permanently in the music app. How can I save ringtones and songs to my phone and continue to use them as tones?

I thought I was doing that. I haven't seen an option to save directly to the card.... I haven't come across any options like that.

All applications have there own defailt download location, you have to use a file browser to move file to this location, I use EStrong File Explorer but the default file browser will work as well...   If you still have issues you may want to check out Ringo Lite from the market. It allows you to set ringers easily.

Hi amyslone,

I am sorry to learn that our representative was not able to help you. Your ringtone is usually store in your ringtone folder on your SD card. You can also look for it in the music folder. Additionally, if you have not deleted the text message containing the ringtone, you can select it again from the message, press on the file for a few seconds and then select the save as ringtone option and check the option to make it your default ringtone.

Usually you will recieve a message with the ringer attached then you would....

1. Go to Text Messages view, threader veiw that shows the music note pic when its not opened.

2. Press and hold on Pic

3. Select Save from the list

4. Now the ringer should be saved in SD/Messages folder

5. Then you can copy file to SD Card/Media/Audio/Ringtones and you can then access the ringers through the stock menu.
