Having trouble using Ringtones assign to contacts, only ring I get is default for all contacts. Try Tech support, try different apps. No luck.  Ringtones are assign to contacts on the people icon or listing. But when you go to setting>sounds<display>ringtone, there is no way to silent default Ringtone so that only contact Ringtone will ring., PLEASE HELP...

What you need to do is move the custom ringtones into the ringtones folder on the phone. I found that to be the easiest.

I'm confused, won't a contact rintone always ring over the default? Mine does.

I had the issue for a long while. I had a ringtone on my SD card. I would go into music, find the tone, choose assign to contact, and it would work, then revert back to standard tone. I moved it to the phones memory and all has been fine.

It could be the ringtone assignment program in the music program.

You can make custom ringtones with the app called RingDroid

Sorry for my ineptitude...  What I want to know is, how do you move the ringtones into the ringtone folder.  😞  Is there something like "explorer" on a PC, where you can acces and move folders around?

This is my first "smartphone".
