My SD card is inserted, and is in correctly but whenever i go to see my music or photos it says "Please insert an SD card" HEEEELP! this is a ! day old phone so i couldnt imagine it is something with my phone!
if it is your old sd card maybe your phone can't read it, not every phone accesses info on the sd card the same way
plug it into a computer and see if you can view the files
