Safe Mode??

I have a Droid X and love it, the other day in the bottom left corner this thing saying safe mode is there. Its annoying and restricting and I want it gone! Any ideas? Thanks

Usually a force Safe Mode boot usually lean towards a bad app or hardware hickup, try removing the sd card and see if you can boot clean. Another option is to try booting into recovery mode and clear the cache by..

Power Device Off First.....

1. Hold Home Button and press power

2. Screen will show a Android with a triangle with astrick

3. Let Go of Home Button and Power

4. Press Search Button (Far Left Button)

5. A blue menu will show at top of page, scroll to Clear Cache

6. Select Yes to verify

7. Allow operation to complete (Information at bottom of page will go through a few steps)

8. Once complete Blue Menu will show at top again, select Reboot

Note: Use volume up and down to select opinion and use camera button as Enter,,,

One thing... If you are on Gingerbread you have to press volume up and down instead of search button and the enter button is the power button instead of the camera button..

Thanks Wildman for pointing that out.  i was'nt sure how to get out of this mode my self i got to brush up on some things. i thought by shutting down the X an pulling the battery might help. But i found your instruction too show how to get out of safe Mode But as you said i forgot a one thing Gingerbred .

Hamalday3435, if simply rebooting the phone or trying the steps above do not resolve your issue, this could be a hardware problem with the phone. To boot the phone into safe mode, you need to press and hold the Menu while the phone is booting up. Does the Menu button seem stuck or not moving? When the phone boots up, are you able to use the Menu button in any applications? If not, then it sounds like a faulty Menu button may be causing this issue and the phone may need to be replaced.
