Don't forget that there is the LG Revolution and the Motorola DROID Bionic that are slated to come yet in the first half of 2011. I think the LG Revolution might run mostly stock android (could be wrong :smileywink:

too) and the DROID Bionic might have the new Blur that according to androidcentral wasn't half bad.

Given Samsung's update track record, I probably won't ever go anywhere near this phone. Though I do have to say that August (when I get to use my final NE2) seems to be getting farther and farther away. I love my Eris but I am so ready for a new toy. (Which, at this point is still looking like the TBolt)

Has anyone figured out if the Bionic will be having 2.3 Gingerbread because all reviews say it will have 2.2 but all videos and screenshots have 2.3 on it..

If you make the device out of low grade plastic of course its lighter.

The Super Amoled screen is clear to a point but has way to much blue tint plus the screens have been reported to develop a burn in issue, they have to improve that before I see that as better.

On board RAM helps but a 1Ghz Hummingbird...

Also I hate the Touchwiz, Blur is better and I hate it also but I will do Blur over Touchwiz

Interesting... The Droid Charge only has a 1500 mAh battery vs the 1400 mAh battery in the Thunderbolt.

i'll be keeping my tbolt for quite a while. in my opinion, it has now lived up to the hype in every way. lovin it!!!

interesting? i wonder if this is due to the inquiries we all had about the "8 gb" internal storage on the tbolt (that actually amounts to 2.6 gb)????? looks like a sweet phone, but i still wish i understood why the tbolt only shows 2.6 gb? at least htc tells you on this one that it's 4 gb but really only one. anyone know anything about this??? looks like a nicer screen and "slightly" better battery and dual core.....with gingerbread i'd say tmobile has got a NICE device here!!!!!

The unibody design of the HTC Sensation will restrict the user to the 1520 mAh battery. No extended battery with its humpback cover. (Okay maybe that's a good thing.)

That is if it's shell is designed similarly to the HTC Inspire (AT&T)

Thanks for the links but this doesnt give Charge a good record on performance over Incredible 2 and as for screen shots I have been using the SDK and when I am working on a project ir works better for me at this moment but I am glad to see that they are finally allowing this option on devices.

Actually it is more due to the 4G LTE outage yesterday, than Samsung.

Oh I know I just can't resist the urge to take potshots at Samsung whenever I can. My latest gripe with them is that their bluetooth stack is crap compared to the stock (HTC, Motorola, etc) stack, so I can't connect a Wii remote to my phone for SNES games the way other android users can.

that does look great. however, i'm just not experiencing this "awful" battery life that everyone goes on about? maybe it's because i got used to only one day with my year on the htc inc??? when i get in the office around 7 am i charge it until it's full (1.5-2 hours). it's then off the charger until the next morning and i get about 3 hours of actual use time on it. i do have it set to go to airplane mode from 12am-6am (just to make sure it doesn't die overnoght, as it's my alarm clock) so that helps. but a full day on with 3 hours of actual use seems pretty fair to me. i held off on the extended battery and now i've decided i don't even need it. 2 days though, would be pretty sweet!!!!! i'm not terribly surprised, as it seems the fascinate blew away the inc in battery life.

I would say turning the airplane mode on the device for 6 hours help...

I know I have gotten 18 hours out of the stock battery (Tbolt) and down to 40% left. Usage depends on how I use the phone during the day and throughout the week.

Yesterday I plugged in the Tbolt at work at approximately 33% left. It had been off the charger for 16 hours 7 minutes. Display was at 58% of the usage or 4 hours 24 minutes. While not the best in the world, I can live with these parameters.

o_O only 58%? Display is usually 67-80% of my battery drain on my Epic... What were your other battery drains? I blame LTE :smileytongue:

This wasn't all of the drains, but the main ones.
My brightness display is also usually set at 0% or 15% throughout the day too. Which helps.

No LTE for hundreds of miles. I have to go to Denver, Minneapolis or St. Louis to find some LTE goodness.

Sensorly 15% (GPS usage for it at 44m)
Dolphin 10%, 53 minutes
Cell Standby 6%
Phone Idle 4%
WiFi 2% 6h 42m

BTW my display is at 74% of the battery usage today. So far.
