i can not turn off my screen lock.

I'm not sure what you mean here.... You can't unlock the screen? You just slide the bar on the left, over to the right.

 

If you mean you can't make it so your phone doesn't lock up, I don't believe that is a feature on the Droid X.

go to settings and then locations and security. Look in there.

If you are referring to the lock you swipe from left to right on startup, there is an apps called "unlock" that will take care of that. If, however, you are refering to a lock setup you made, just go to Settings>Location & Security>Security>set up screen lock and tap on "None". But this is only for a lock you set up, such as a pattern.
