Screen Locked and email address

SInce my son never uses his gmail account he can not remember his user name or password. He downloaded some app that you have to use a code to get into his phone...he left his phone at a friends and his friend decided he wanted to play with the phone, but since he didnt know the code he ended up with too many attempts and locked it up. Now it wants the gmail address and password to get in and we can not remember for the life of us what it is... Is there anyway we can over ride this? Any help would be so appreciated!!!!!

Since you are not sure of what the gmail account information is, I would recommend for you to do a factory reset on the device and reset it up again. A hard reset will wipe everything from the phone, including any pictures/songs/data on the SD card. Be sure to remove the sd card before performing the hard reset.

With the phone turned off, press and hold the Volume Down and Send buttons.

Press the Power button while continuing to hold the Volume Down and the Send buttons.

Follow the instructions to complete the hard reset.
