Second version of Gingerbread for some of our Charges???

I have been having problems with the new gingerbread update installing on my Charge it gets about half way into.the install then just restarts and I still have 2.2.1 so I went to my verizon store and told them the issue, and the support guy told.me he had gotten an email that morning stating this issue and that a newer gingerbread update would be releasing next week that I should ignkre the current one. Can anyone else confirm this info or are the ppl at my store just dumb????????

The store people are often wrong.  But if this is accurate info, I wonder if it will be just a tweaked package for initial downloads or a tweaked fix that will push out to all of us that have already installed the update.

Nah I really doubted it myself so I went back to the store earlier today and they are gona exchange my phone
