When my phone times out it has the date time and a msg that says," this phone belongs to..." does anyone know where to go to personalize it?

It won't say that at all, unless you have that app installed. The phone doesn't come with the ability to do that straight out of the box.

That is correct, that isnt a stock feature and it appeears that a number of anti-virus apps are adding this option.  So if you have any anti-virus running on device you may want to check into its settings.
