Self portrait function on camera not working....

one more issue...the "self portrait" option under the picture mode does not seem to work...its keeps saying..."no faces found...function timeout" or something along those lines...where there is, in fact a freaken face on the screen...i have tried with the Face Detection option checked and unchecked...does not work either way...anyone having similar probs?

[How To] Use The Self Portrait Mode On The Droid X Camera


1.
Launch the Camera

2.
Push the Menu Button and Select Picture Modes

3.
Select Self Portrait

4.
Hold the Camera Horizontally (Camera Button Face up) If you hold the phone Vertically face detection will not work

5.
Camera will automatically start snapping photos once it detects a face, and will keep taking photos continuously
problem solved...i wasnt using it right...

I must be the invisible man because it won't detect my face.  I have tried turning it every which way but loose and I can't make the cottin pickin thang work.

try holding it for a few seconds...it takes one or two seconds...and i held it at arms length....but the annyoing part is that there is no mention of it in the manual...im one of those people that actually wants to know EVERYTHING my phone (or any other electronic) does...

Thanks for that, I didn't even know about that feature.  Learn something new every day on this thing.  It takes a little while to get the angle right but about 14 inches out works well.
