i dropped my incredible in a parking lot from about 2-3 feet. no damage at all. i had it in a plastic snap case. my brother in law just dropped his blackberry the other day and the screen cracked. it has nothing to do with the fact that they are droids. if you drop any smart phone with a decent sized screen, it may crack, it may not. heck....my coworker's pal pre screen has spidered simply from use. he constantly pushes something in the lower left of the phone (not on the screen itself) but the constant pressure the was applied just next to the lower corner of the screen caused it to crack.

If you get cases for them, it usually fixes that issue. Or just taking better care of your items. Or insurance for your kids.
