Ordered Droid X on July 15th with "overnight" shipping to rental house at beach. On July 17th was told that "overnight" shipping really meant 4 day shipping with delivery on the 19th. Since I had to leave the beach house on the 18th for work travel, I began trying to change the shipping address. Three days later and 7 calls each to Verizon and FedEx with each contradicting the other, I cancelled my order. Now wondering about canceling Verizon after the runaround I received. Guess I'll wait until the iPhone and ATT get fixed....the wait probably won't be as long as waiting for Verizon to change a shipping address!

Seems like no one really knows what they're talking about. Yeah, "Droid Does" but apparently the company that sells it DOESN'T when it comes to knowledge. I ordered mines on July 16th about 6:30 am online to avoid dealing with mail in rebate. I later called the store that day after checking later and seeing that there was now a pushed back date to get it when ordered online. So I call my local store (who happens to be sold out of course, but that's not the issue) and I'm told well you can still come in and have it ordered because we ship from a different warehouse then online orders and still show thousands of phones available. So I cancel the ALREAY PLACED order and swallow the idea of avoiding the rebate that would've saved me paying the $100.00 extra up front only to NOW be told today when I'm expecting it today or tomorrow according to at least TWO DIFFERENT PEOPLE in that store that said it would be 1 to 2 business days meaning July 20th is the worst case scenario that it will be probably this time NEXT week before it actually "SHIPS" so now I wait and STILL have to deal with a rebate. How the heck did they give such a solidified statement with out having concrete resources as the company to know the true facts? Smh......
