Shipping date change again

Now its 8/23/2010  so who just order there droid x this week I hope I don't have to wait to the end of the mouth to receive my phone.:mansad:

Shipping date changed again now the 25th like I said end of the mouth I hate that I payed for a phone that I don't have that is a problem Verizon should have stop taking order on the phone to catch up now u got people still calling an placing order think there phone will be shipped in 2-3 day in reality you have to wait for Motorola to restock  we as customer need to stop calling Verizon started calling Motorola I'm just venting lightly.:manindifferent:

I understand your frustration and apologize for the inconvenience this has caused you. The shipping dates were changed due to the high demand of the phones.

Don't freak.  that's what i did lol.  i ordered mine on 8/3 at 12:00pm and was told i'd receive it by 8/19.  However, I received my conformation e-mail today saying that i'd have it by tomorrow 8/11/10.

lucky, i ordered mine last month sometime and havent recieved anything

Dude, I ordered my droid x on like the 5th of Aug, they advsd me it wouldnt get shipped until the 18th. I received email stating its in my city Today the 11th!!! Very excited!:smileyvery-happy:

I ordered mine over the phone on August 7th (I had originally called for something else).  I wasn't going to order it because I noticed that it was back ordered online until 8/25 but the person on the phone assured me that it would ship on 8/10 and that I would have it by 8/12.  She even checked with the manager who confirmed that this was the case.  I called to check today since it hasn't been shipped and was told that it won't ship until the 8/28.  The person I talked to even told me that in the notes of the order, the previous rep wrote that it will arrive no later than 8/12.  I don't mind waiting for the phone, but my problem is that someone has to be home to sign for the phone and my schedule is going to change next week so that I won't be around.  I also don't understand why I was told one thing over the phone (by a rep and a manager) and why now I have been told something completely different.  No one even bothered to email me to say that the shipping date had been pushed back by over two weeks.  I tried to cancel the order but they said that I have to refuse the package.  What lousy customer service...

They either don't really know, or will lie to you to get you to take the bait. Why I won't buy any phone that's not "in stock" now.

Wow you people have more patience than I do.

 

I called customer support twice and was given a different answer both times. I would expect for a company that is the worlds largest cell phone service provider to be able to give a consistent answer.

 

Because the cust svc rep this AM said my phone was shipping today and I would receive e-mail confirmation by 4:30 EST and I didn't I called when I got off fo work. The second cust svc rep said the earlist my order woukld ship was the 24th of this month.

 

That was more than enough reason for me to cancel my order. I am not going to let them hang onto my $250 for three to four weeks and let them deliver when they feel like it with no promise date.

 

Two and a half more months left on my contracxt for my cell and laptop air card and I will be shopping for a provider who cares a little bit more about the customers needs.

Submoa: you were able to cancel the order?  I tried but they said that the only way I could cancel was to wait for the phone to eventually be delivered and then refuse the package.

When you look at the shipping date on Verizon's page it says "Will Be Shipped By". That leaves room to believe that it will be shipped no later than the date that it is posted. Meaning that it could be ship before that date.

I preordered in store at best buy June 22.  I called the best buy mobile number and was told some phones had shipped to the stores for the preorders.  He said to call my store to see if the phone was in. So after calling yesterday and giving all my information, I was told she had to finish with a customer and she would call back. The store closed 4 1/2 hours later and no call back. I called this morning and was told verizon changed the in store availability date and call back in 2 days. What the heck does the in store date have to do with preorders? Does this mean my phone is sitting at best buy waiting for verizon to give the all clear so I can pick it up? Apparently if verizon can't make the in store sale, neither can anyone else.
