I recently (yesterday) put an order in at a Verizon Wireless store for the Droid X. Online it says it will not ship until 8/25. Is that when my new phone will be shipped to me or will it come earlier because I did it in the store?

There are no guarantees on shipping times. When you placed your order in the store they will likely have told you to expect it to ship on the same date that is listed on the website.
