Shouldn't I be able to bring up the group contacts list from the home page? I press the contact symbol, then menu symbol, then "dispaly group". A box pops up that just says "SHOW", but nothing below it. I figured that my groups would be listed below "show". Is this a 'glitch' of some sort or am I not doing something correctly?

@RonRon - If you are talking about you contacts as google contact groups, unfortunately no. Motorola in this case has created a "custom" contacts app, and what they are calling groups, I would more properly call "accounts and groups", but I've not figured out how to "sync" it with my google contact groups 😐

Update - Matt, the forums moderator on the Motorola support forums, has indicated that syncing with your google contact groups isn't possible on the 2 or the X (it was on the D1) using the built in contacts app (the data is syncing, it just isn't displayed).
There is an app called Contacts GroupU that I've heard works, but I've not tried it.

Thank you... just downloaded Contacts Group U, so far looks like just what we're wanting.
I agree, there is no reason why Motorola/Google should not have made this a standard feature.
If the advantage is supposed to be seamless syncing with your gmail, it should be that.

when i first got my phone i was able to access my contacts thru contacts>display group but it quit working after awhile i found the bar that says contacts:all contacts with the green plus sign on the far right holds this information now. you simply tap it and there you go. i recently had to hard reset my phone so for now contacts>display works. for how long i dont know.

Hi.
Saw your post. Were you able to resolve this issue? I am experiencing the same issue. the 2 replies on your post aren't addressing what you stated. I just got the phone.
When I press the contacts icon from home page, sometimes I get the "show" button appear or simply "no communications history" message on screen without any of the contacts within the group or a list of all contacts. When I press the status bar of the contacts, it opens the different groups I've created but no contact names for any of the customized groups nor displays any from "all contacts" list.
However, if I hit the PHONE icon button and press the contacts tab, then I see all my contacts, but not when I hit the CONTACTS icon, Thanks.

Ive found that it takes a while for the contact info to come from the data server to my phone. Your contacts arent stored directly on your phone but in "the cloud". I have a lot of contacts on facebook and twitter and unfortunately they havent figured out a way to make accessing that information fast or convenient. Once all your contacts load, however you should be able to select the groups.
