Does anyone know if the X supports Skype video or just voice?

I'm 99.9% sure Verizon does not support Skype video.

I know Verizon monitors here, can someone verify this 100.00%?

The Droid X does not have a dual camera. So unfortunately, it does not support Skype video.
Hope this helps!!

Dual camera meaning no front camera? At what point will they be adding a front camera to do video conferencing?

If you want to make video calls, then you can download the APP called FRING from the APP store. It works on 3G but it is MUCH better when used via a WiFi connection. My brother has an iPhone4, he lives on the west coast and I live on the east coast. We did several "video" calls this past weekend and it works great. HOWEVER, the DROID X (as you know) does not have a front facing camera. So, when you are making a video call, the other user will only see what you have the camera pointed at. I don't mind not having a front facing camera as I don't particularly want the other user looking up my nostrils while i am speaking with them
Again, this app can be used with ANY smartphone user...not just DROID, not just iPhone..etc..
It works really nice and also has an IM function.... HIGHLY RECOMMENDED APP....
