Sliding lock question

Is there anyway of disabling the sliding lock feature after screen wake up or to answer a call?  I see there is a menu option to disable it but it doesn't appear to do anything.  Other X's I looked at in the Verizon store behave in the same manner.

Try "No Lock" app. (Thanks to Wildman for the suggestion to me!)

I don't believe that is a feature that can be totally disabled because the phone could possibly be woken up while in your pocket and then the touchscreen would be active, allowing things to happen, i.e. butt dialing. I think that if you use a screen lock like the pattern or passcode, you can disable the slide, but that seems to go against your reasoning.

NoLock from market will disable the lock screen from activating on wake up but it will not suppress the application on bootup but it does work well after the initial boot, Motorola disabled the option for turning this off and there isn't any app that can completely disable the app because it is used for the caller id function.. Here is the information on Motorola in regards to this subject... https://motorola-global-portal.custhelp.com/app/answers/detail/a_id/57221/kw/can%20not%20disable%20f...

Also keep in mind that NoLock or any other app works to disable this feature when a Corp. Email is setup on the device because some server are configured to require the security option to log into server.
