After reading some of these posts for a length of time, I've come to one conclusion. These Smartphones are smarter than some of the people using them. I wonder if some of these people even bother looking at the manual that they can find on line?

BOY!!! I had to give you Kudo on this one, I have always thought this and I feel that this needs to be pointed out more.... Just because you can buy a smartphone does not mean you can operate it. My rule of thumb is... " If you cant work a computer well then you do not need a smartphone because it is nothing but a mini computer"
I really wish I could find the posting about a IT walking a customer through trouble shooting why their computer wouldnt power up for 45 minutes and then realized that the there was a power outage in the customers house... This reminds me of this situation...

That was good. I also liked the "have you tried Windows 98". You can add Windows Vista to that too.

That was like the IT gospel at my job back in the day.. because you will be amazed how many customers matched that customer to the letter...
Also as for the 98 joke you can actually place all Windows OS in that joke...

I have pointed this out several times. I haven't quite broke it down Slap you in the Face style like that, but I've told many people that a Smartphone isn't for everyone.

Understandable, but you know sometime you have to say it a few times or word it differently for some ... I have seen a number of post that express the statement but this doesn't make the point any less true..
They may do a new TV show similar to "Are you Smarter than a Fifth Grader?" and call it "Are you Smarter than your Smartphone?"
