Social Networking Motorblur widget slows phone down, having to reset at least once a day now....

It seem, during the last couple of weeks, when I'm flipping through my Social Networking Motoblur widget, the windows move very slowly, and sometimes after going through 50 - 100 of them, the widget resets itself and starts back at the first one you viewed.....very frustrating, then they go very slowly and the pics take forever to catch up. Eventually, I have to restart my phone and then they work as they did when the phone was new, fast and efficiently. I wouldn't complain about it if it happened once every couple of weeks or so, but it happens 1 - 2 times a day. The last time I had to reset a phone this often, I had a HTC Touch Pro 2 with Windows Mobile 6.5!?!?!?!?! Is anyone else having the same issue? Since I downloaded the last Android update, I'm resetting my phone a lot more now. If anyone here has any idea's please let me know.

i had a problem along the same lines as this. awhile back my music player stopped working and the screen would freeze then go black and i couldnt do anything with it. there are a couple of things i know you can do here. first off try deleting your cache every now and then. as far as clearing cache its a component that improves performance by transparently storing data. i have a history eraser to delete everything at once for me thus clearing up room and keeping phone from clogging up and lagging, etc. its a free app and easy to use. to download it on your phone go to market>apps>search>history eraser>HistoryEraser DUMAPIC (should be the first one listed)>tap on it>download>now once its downloaded open it and tap bomb>depending on how much you use the web browser, call people, search market histories, use navigation and maps, etc. is how often you need to clear your data. i do so about every two hours. you could also try hard resetting your phone. this would erase everything to the way you when you first got your phone out of the store so i t recommend it as a last resort choice. there is a website posted below with the information on how to quickly and easily do this.

I have provided some information below that may help.

Step 1. Check the device's memory. (Ensure the device's internal memory is not lower than 30mb remaining)***If so, you may need to remove some applications that are not native to the device.

Step 2. PureSteelHeart’s recommendation of clearing the temporary internet and cookie files. The instruction below is using the native programs on the device ***These steps can also be done with non-native apps.

Step 3. Try resetting the MotoBlur  (social network) application data. (This will require you to log back in after the application is reset.)

Step 4. Try removing the widget and re-adding it.

Step 5. Complete a soft reset.

-Power the device off

-Remove the battery for 20 seconds

-Place the battery back in

-Power the device back on.

Step 6. Hard reset. ***Performing a hard reset will remove ALL data including the Google account, system data, application data, application settings, and downloaded applications. Only perform this reset if absolutely necessary.
