We've already had an update to 2.2.20, I think it came with 2.2.19.

There was indeed an update for the Droid 2 already.
According to the mobile phone carrier, the new software solution for the Android-based device is meant to bring forth a series of performance enhancements, along with some fixes and improvements.
“Enjoy improved performance with these OS enhancements. Verizon Wireless is pleased to announce a new software update for your Motorola Droid 2. The Motorola (Version.2.2.20.A955.Verizon.en.US/BP: BP_C_01.09.05P) update includes numerous enhancements and improvements,” the carrier notes on its website.
All in all, this is only a minor update for the Motorola DROID 2, though it seems that both Verizon and Motorola are encouraging handset owners to download and install it.
Among what has been included in the software update, we can count:
- Enabled text and picture message scrolling.
- Streamlined set up of Visual Voice Mail feature.
- Improved contact sync with Corporate Exchange categories and groups.
- View accurate contact pictures when reviewing Recent Call Log.
As it always happens with this type of software updates, users should receive notifications as soon as the solution is available for download on their devices.
However, in case some would like to download the update
but were not announced on its availability, they can check of it manually by heading to Settings, About Phone, System Updates, where they need to hit Download.

I couldn't help it. I can't believe it was missed here. It came out about a week after release. Every other Android board knows all about it.

Atleast you and some others are here to help... some of us are better than customer service.
