Speaker Failure Motorola Droid

I just upgraded to a  Motorola Smart phone. I am now on my third Motorola Droid Bionic in one month all for a "Ear Speaker"  failure.  I makes all voice calls rattle with a tin sound.  Anyone else having the problem or is it just me?  I think Verizon has a problem.
